Projects xD

This week we are doing a load on are projects . A lady from the Kildare enterprise board came in to out mini company class to see how we were all getting on in our groups. Everyone had realii good ideas and she was very happy with my groups idea. We are doing a lot on our mini company this week such as market research and manufacturing a prototype. We are all still working on our History and geography projects. Some of us got injections for the cervical cancer vaccine this week too . In pastoral care we did a hand massage which was really relaxing and helped us all to de-stress . It was quite an interesting and busy week but im still enjoying Ty :)

Week 6 ..Geography Project :)

This year in geography we have to do a project on 6 countries we would like to visit and what we will do when we get there. We were put into groups of 3 and we have to do two countries each :) I am doing Australia and Greece. I a doing Australia because I have family over there and have always wanted to go there :) You do some amazing things like bungee jumping, safaris and snorkelling , there are loads of diffrnet websites for this and i found a realii great one here. I would love to do a bungee jump or snorkel in the great barrier reef.. I think it would be cool to learn how to surf too :) I can’t wait to do my project and maybe one day I will do it for real xD

Week 5 :)

This week we did singing in music this week and we learned an African chant in 5 parts it sounded realii good J . We had a half day on tues .On wed we did a guitar lesson . We are all realii busy with projects this week , the bt young scientist application had to be sent in this week so we were all rushing to get our application forms finished . In home ec we are working hard on our project . In history we were out into groups for our history project and mine is the Cuban Missile Crisis . And we have been working on our mini company . This week has been very project based and busy so for anyone who thinks Ty is a doss YOUR WRONG !!! we have a load of projects and we still get homework …that is all : )

Ty Blog 4 : Mini Company

This week we went to a mini compant workshop in NAAS . It was realii interesting and there was a load of other schools there . We got loads of ideas from the workshop so it was realii helpful .Its friendship week in our school this week and the fun walk is on friday . Ty dress in yellow and we are doing a dance to S club 7 reach for the stars with out tutor ms o C . Next week i am giving some of the girls in my class a guitar lesson which i am excited about . Thats all realii ..ttyl x

Ty Blog 3 Carlingford :D

This week was realliii tiring but it was great fun . We went to Carlingford adventure centre for 2 days . We had to be ready for the bus at 7:00 in the morning so everyone was very tired . When we got to Carlingford we were given our rooms . I was in a room of six with my friends . Then we went and did the high ropes which were AMAZINGG I thought it was sooooo much fun . Then we went back for lunch and then we went back out and did water sports . We did canoeing first and then we did pier jumping which was realii good even though the water was freeeezinggg !! After dinner we went for a 2 hour hike up the mountains but we got lost in the dark and it was lashing rain but it was still realii fun . The next day we went orienteering and then we did a load of little challenges which were great fun . We were all wrecked at the end but everyone had a great time and the instructors were realii nice and funny , I would reccomend Carlingdford to anyone http://www.carlingfordadventure.com/ We got our Jc results on wed . Ty blog 2

Ty Blog no.2 

Nearly finished our second week of Ty. We are still working on our home ec and young scientist projects. We were put into mini company groups this week and we had to brainstorm ideas for our company, we didn’t pick one yet but we have a load of ideas so hopefully we will think of a good one. We were put into our music groups in music class and I’m really happy with my group  . We are going to be an acoustic group and we are going to do our own version of a modern pop song so it should be good . I also am going to be teaching guitar to some of the girls in the music class, I’m really excited about this because I love guitar and I think it would be a great experience to teach it. I managed to get my 2nd work experience for March so that’s good.  . We had a social development day this week which was great fun because we got to learn what personality we have. Mine was green and I was a mediator. I’m excited for Carlingford next week but we get our jc results the day after which I’m nervous about. I thinks that’s all for now ttyl 

Start Of Ty 2010 :)

We are just finished are first week of Ty . My class is called Amina which means trust and honesty in some African language .We got to try loads of new subjects that we have never done before . I got to try Home Ec. And Art. I like Home ec , this year we get to design and make an outfit which will be in the fashion show at the end of the year. The themes were black and white or red or purple . My groups colour was black and white and our  outfit it is inspired by the film “Breakfeast at Tiffany’s”  we are making an Audrey Hepburn style outfit .In science we are doing the young scientist competition so we are trying to come up with ideas for that in our groups . This year in music we will all be put into bands and we have to record a song . I am very excited about this because music is my favourite subject. We also had a mini company class , but I don’t really know if I like it yet :L

Anyway that’s all really for now , Im enjoying Ty so far. Ttyl
