Calzone :P

On tuesday in home ec myself and oriana made calzone . It took me ages to make the dough while oriana made the sauce . Eventually the dough was ready so we rolled it out with a rolling pin and knead the dough into four pizza shapes . then we put the sauce on two of the pizzaz . Then i grated some cheese and we put that on too. We then put on the topping of our choice . We decided to make two seperate calzone beacuse i do not eat meat and orian does :) i put a load of peppers on mine and oriana put chorizo and chicken tikka on hers . They took longer to make then we thought so we didint have time to cook them in class . so ms mcA cooked them for us when emnet were cooking and we collected them at lunch time . Mine tasted amazing :O so ill definatly want to make calzone againn :)

School Days :P

Myself and Oriana are home ec partners so we are trying to decide on three dishes to make in home ec . We are cooking next tuesday and since we are doing italy and the first dish we are making is calzone which is basically just like a pizza that is inside out so that should be interesitng to make : ) we are thinking of making some pasta dish as our second dish but we still have to decide what dessert we are going to make . maybe tiramisu ?

Today a lady from the kildare enterprise board came in to talk to us about our minicompany projects : ) There are a lot of really good ideas and a lot of people have there products already made and some people are even selling already . She was very impressed with our schools inovation for this years mini company competition . Unfortunatly our group can-do have run into problems with raising money for manufactering our cand-do stopper : ( In music we are preparing a song for the schools music night , the song is called 'mama said' . As i mentioned in my last blog we are making a clock in technology at the moment which is good fun . :)

More Projects :P

We missed a lot of spanish classes because of trips away and double pe , rugby practice but at the moment we are doing spanish projects that we have to present to the class . Mine is on the music and dance of spain which i find very interesting ,i am a bit nervous to present but hopefully i wont do too bad . We have to rate eachother on the content , use of spanish language , presentaion visual and presenting skills :) We also have a new project to do in history too , it is on any topic we choose from any period of history so that should be interesting to do . We are also doing a new project in home ec where we have to choose a country and make 3 dishes from that countyr , i chose italy cuz it has yummy food :P we are also making clocks in tech :) ttyl x

Ty stuff :)

Hello :) we have done a lot of things since coming back after the xmaas holidays . All of Ty went to the RDS to the BT young scientist exibition .Even though we all enetered the competition only one group in amina got through :D It was great fun and we got a load of free stuff but we learned a lot at the same time because the projects were very interesting so everyone enjoyed it :) At the moment we are trying to decide on our subject choices for leaving cert , its difficult but i think i nearly know what i want to choose . We are getting special classes to help us decide which is very helpful . Hopefully i will make the right choice and get all the subjects i want because it will be a bit tricky if i dont :(

Back To Ty XD

We had been practicsing our dramas for the briary gap competiton , there are 4 dramas , 2 from each class all of them are really good but they all deal with very important issues such as drink driving , domestic violence , racism and the consequences of loss from war . So we all went to mullingar on tuesday to compete in the competition , everyone did really well and the judge was very impressed and also gave us some great advice on how to improve on our plays :) i was in charge of the sound and lights for 2 of the plays which was a difficult job but it was also a good experience and it was fun . After we had performed our plays we were aloud to watch the others schools dramas which were also very good so we have some stiff competition and we will find out next week if we got through to the next round .

Work Exp etc. :)

Work Exp etc . 

I Haven’t blogged in a while so I have loads to talk about :D A few weeks ago we all went out on work exp. I was really excited but I was also a bit nervous at the same time . I was doing my work exp. With saidhbh in Radio Na Life in merrion sq. Dublin 2. I got the bus into town the first few days to O Connell street and then we walked down to merrion sq. which was about a 10 minute walk . After a while I felt really sick on the bus everyday so I started getting the train which was more convienit as Pearse station is about a 5 min walk from Radio Na Life headquarters .On the first day we got a tour of the studios and then we researched stories for the radio and rang people up to organise interviews which I enjoyed . It was a bit boring sometimes as we sat at the computers a lot but we also got to do fun things like a voxpop on Grafton street and best of all on the last day we got to record our own radio show which will possibly be aired on the radio at some point . All in all I really enjoyed myself even though the hours were very tiring . When we got back to school we went straight back in to work on all out projects . We are currently looking for manufactures for our can-do plug pop in mini company and today a woman came in to talk to us about running a business and help us find manufacturers . We are also presenting our Geography projects this week , mine is on Australia and a few other people did it too so I hope mine stands out a bit . We are also presenting our history projects to the current 3rd years which I am a bit nervous about . This week we also submitted in our 5 page proposal for F1 schools comp in Tech , we are also just finishing our mood boards for home ec . I think I’ve filled you in on everything so far ..ttyl 
